Older Traveller Older Homeless Study – Participant Researcher Briefing Series

These briefs are based on projects conducted by Participant Researchers, who are older members of the Traveller community or older adults who have experienced homelessness. The Participant Researchers were Kathleen Sweeney, Asad Abushark, Rory Carroll, Michael Mackey and Leo Redmond.

The work was completed in collaboration with ICSG’s Brídin Carroll and Kieran Walsh.

This first Brief is on health and health services, and is based on the
projects of Kathleen Sweeney, and Rory Carroll, Michael Mackey.

 

 

 

This second Brief focuses on identity and belonging, and is based
on the projects of Asad Abushark and Leo Redmond.

 

 

 


ROSEnet COST Action Briefing Paper Series

Reducing Old-Age Social Exclusion: Collaborations in Research and Policy (ROSEnet) – responds to research, policy and societal challenges with respect to the social exclusion of older people in Europe, and beyond.  Below you will find the ROSEnet Briefing Paper Series. The first five of the Briefs considers each of the different domains of exclusion that can occur in later life. The 6th Brief focuses on multidimensional old-age social exclusion and the ways that these different domains of exclusion can interact and impact on older people’s lives. Each Brief presents an analysis of research evidence, and policy challenges, and outlines a key set of policy messages to reduce exclusion in older age.
